Saturday, September 24, 9am – 3pm (CDT)
Metro Nashville Education Association,
531 Fairground Ct, Nashville, TN 37211

Join other public school supporters and advocates to resist ongoing efforts of certain billionaires, politicians, grifters, and other privatizers who are working to wreck our public schools.

Our Tennessee Public Education Coalition allies have been defending Tennessee public schools for many years. We’ve had strong successes, but the privatizers are relentless. Despite our best efforts they expanded private school voucher and charter school laws, and created numerous other laws that disrupt teaching and caring for children in public schools.

What we’ve been doing has been good, but it isn’t enough. To preserve strong public schools for our children and grandchildren, we must work together!

At this meeting we will:

  • learn how to build power,
  • expand and strengthen our networks,
  • learn how to be more effective,
  • meet and build relationships with other public school advocates, and
  • plan next steps to roll back bad legislation and improve public schools in Tennessee
